Professional electricians in Ghana to be identify on mobile app ----- Energy commission.

Lead officer of electrical wiring program at the Energy Commission of Ghana Mr. Stephen Yomoh has said the commission has introduced a mobile app which will help landlords, institutions and companies to identify certified and professional electricians in Ghana.
He said the mobile app contains the pictures, names and telephone numbers of all professional electricians in Ghana.
According to him this mobile app will help flash out uncertified electricians in the country.

He made this revelation at the 10th Graduation Ceremony of Electricians Of electrical wiring program which was held at the NAT Hall in Kumasi.
He added that all professional electricians will be trained two times every year before their certificates are been renewed by the commission.
He said the commission will also monitor the quality of electrical wiring cables to avoid fire outbreaks in the country.

He said the disciplinary committee of the Energy Commission will enforce the law on electricians who abuse or violate the law.
He said the only challenge facing Energy Commission and certified electricians is the competition of uncertified person who compromises with inferior electrical products for wiring.

He therefore advised the general public to make good use of the app in identifying certified and professional electricians in the country.
